I recently got oil changed at Dixie Mitsubishi.
I was charged extra $2.36 for part # MD050317 - Gasket Oil Pan.
Is it required to be changed every time with oil change?
Besides, I was not given an option for synthetic oil.
The question is - do I have to perform service maintenance (according to the Maintenance and Warranty book) at my dealer, to retain factory warranty?
Do I have right to service at the auto shop of my choice?

Mitsubishi Motor Sales of Canada reserves the right to deny warranty coverage if the vehicle has not been properly maintained. However, denial will not be abased solely on the absence of maintenance records.
